Ciekiewicz & Langeveldt take first wins of the season

Dave Ciekiewicz and Kurt Langeveldt took their first victories of the year at race one at Mosport, in a race that had to be restarted due to a crash at the start.

At the start, four cars were wiped out in turn one creating a red flag, which removed Hyundai’s Bob Attrell, Honda’s Andre Rapone, the Acura of Roger Bowes and the Touring Class pole sitter Michel Sallenbach.

On the restart, Super Touring pole sitter Ciekiewicz got away safely and went on to take his first win of 2010 in the 20 minute sprint from Gregory Pootmans BMW 328, with the Hyundai Genesis of Sasha Anis completing the podium.

There was another new winner in the Touring category, with Kurt Langeveldt finishing less than a second ahead of Anthony Rapone’s Honda Civic in his Mazda Protege.
