Matt Neal and Gordon Shedden are going to continue driving for Honda Racing in the British Touring Car Championship next year.
“Honda has left it up to us to choose the drivers. And I can’t see any reason to change what we already have, especially after the season we’ve had. Continuity of drivers is very important,” said team boss Steve Neal to Autosport.
Matt Neal finished second in the BTCC this year and was the strongest threat to Jason Plato for the drivers title.
While the drivers title slipped away for the team, Neal and Shedden managed to secure both the team and manufacturers title for Honda Racing. Next year things are going to be different, according to Neal.
“For us the work never stops. We have already started thinking about next year’s challenge and how we can take a clean sweep of all the trophies. This week is the first week of our 2011 programme and we can’t wait to get stuck in to it,” said Neal.
