Canadian Touring Cars announce new partners

The Castrol Canadian Touring Car Championship has announced new branding and partners for the 2011 season, as it heads into its fifth year.

Launching at the Canadian Motorsports Expo yesterday in Toronto, series director John Bondar said:
“I am proud of the results. This strong new brand will help us create broader awareness and
ultimately grow the series!”

Toronto based branding agency Baker Vandertuin developed the design with the website constructed by Compass 360, who also compete in the series with their off shoot C360R team.

Castrol are back on board as the title sponsor of the series, though the prefix has been changed from CCTCC to CTCC, which is often used to describe the China Touring Car Championship.

Continental Tire also joins the championship as the new tyre provider, replacing Toyo Tires.

“We are very excited to welcome Continental Tire as a new partner for the next three years. Continental has developed a race tire based on the same performance principles that go into their ExtremeContact family of products.” said John Bondar.

“The ExtremeContact race tire will be the official and exclusive tire of the CTCC. We look forward to working with the entire Continental team under the guidance of their Marketing Manager Terry Smouter.”

The championship kicks off with the Victoria Day Speedfest at Mosport on May 21st-22nd. For more information about the Castrol Canadian Touring Car Championship, see www.touringcar.ca.
