Jiang Tengyi on pole for Ford at Chengdu

Chang’an Ford FRD Team driver Jiang Tengyi claimed pole position for tomorrow’s race in the China Touring Car Championship Super Production Class, ahead of the best showing for the turbo cars yet with Wang Rue second for Volkswagen.

Tengyi’s team-mate Rainey He was third in the next Ford Focus, with Lo Ka Chun fourth ahead of Jim Ka To, a last minute replacement for Lo Ka Fai who had misplaced some personal documents.

Two more 1.6 turbo Polos were sixth and seventh, driven by Han Han and Gao Hua Yang.

In the China Production Class, pole went to Guo Hai Sheng’s Nissan Tiida, with Martin Ma Qing Hua second in the Hyundai i30 and Cui Yue third in the Hyundai Elantra.
