Chen wins the first race of the day at Sepang

Team AAI/Buddy Club driver Chen Jun San took the win in an incident packed round of the Asian Touring Car Series at the Sepang International Circuit.

The Taiwanese driver overtook the pole-sitting JAS Honda Accord of Michael Choi at the start, as Choi dropped down the order and was knocked into a spin at the end of lap two and dropped to the rear of the field.

HTCC drivers Paul Poon and Samson Fung rounded out the podium in their China Dragon Racing Chevrolet Lacettis.

Malaysian driver Wong Yew Choong finished fifth after starting from the back of the grid, and was the second classified driver of the ATCS category, but in scrutineering it was discovered the ride height was too low and was disqualified, and will have to start from the back of the grid again for Round 6.
