CTCC heads to Ordos for Round 4

The fourth round of China Touring Car Championship will be held on 10th July at the Ordos International Circuit in Inner Mongolia.

Chang’an Ford FRD has a good advantage in the Super Production class after Rainey He’s victory in Chengdu, taking two victories from the first three races for the reigning champion team. Whilst Kia 778 Autosport, the major rival of Chang’an Ford FRD is targeting a strong showing in Ordos, especially with the performance of their new driver Jim Ka To last time out at Chengdu.

The teams in the Super Production Turbo class will also be hoping to replicate the strong form they showed at Chengdu, after Wang Rue of Shanghai VW 333 Racing qualified second overall, even though their competitiveness are still some way from those in the Super Production Class.

In the China Production Class, Beijing Hyundai Racing has the advantage after Martin Ma Qing Hua took his second win for the team at Chengdu. Haima Z1 Racing is expected to fight back hard, especially after suffering from a poor run in Round 3.

Team Ghiasports, in which their driver Guo Hai Sheng gained the pole position during the last round in Chengdu, will be the only team being absent from the forthcoming round due to budget problems.

The qualifying will be held at 14:10 (local time) on 9th July.
