Kenneth Lau takes pole again at Sentul

Kenneth Lau clocked the fastest time of the day to claim pole for the Asian Touring Car Series Round 9 tomorrow in his JAS Motorsport Honda Accord.

The Series is at the Sentul International Circuit for the Indonesian leg of the Asian Festival Of Speed. Lau from JAS Motorsport set the fastest time of 1:39.129 to take the first spot on the grid ahead of Hideharu Kuroki and Cheung Chi Sing.

Team AAI/Buddy Club driver Chen Jun San, who secured the ATCS 2011 drivers’ championship at this circuit back in July, will start from the back of the grid in his Honda Civic after the arrival of his rebuilt engine was delayed. Chen’s team-mate ‘Morris’ Chen Han Chen will start at the back alongside him in his Honda Accord.

The two-round Season finale for the ATCS will be held on Sunday with Round 9 at 9.15am, with Round 10 taking place at 1pm (local time).
