CTCC heads to Tianma this weekend for Round 6

The sixth round of China Touring Car Championship will be held on October 2nd at the Shanghai Tianma Shan Circuit, which is the second time the CTCC visits the little circuit in Shanghai this season.

Chang’an Ford FRD is now leading the Teams’ Championship in the Super Production class after four victories in Zhuhai, Chengdu, Ordos and Shanghai, whilst Kia 778 Autosport, the major rival of Chang’an Ford FRD, is leading the drivers’ Championship with Lo Ka Chun, who finished third in the Super Production Normally Aspirated (SPNA) class at the last round. Both are hoping for a good run at the Tianma Circuit.

The Super Production Turbo class is expected to feature strongly in the forthcoming round, especially after Kenneth Look of Shanghai VW 333 Racing qualified on pole position last time out.

Beijing Hyundai Racing has dominated the China Production class after four wins this season. Martin Ma Qing Hua and Liu Yang are first and second plac in the drivers’ championship.

Qualifying will be held at 14:20 (local time) on 1st October.
