TTA organization has started negotiations for a co-operation with the Swedish Motorsport Federation [SBF] ahead of the 2012 season.
“We are happy that the negotiations have started with SBF. We have together got the opportunity create an exciting future for teams, dealers, drivers, partners and spectators for Swedish Racing,” said Thomas Johansson, Managing Director for TTA.
TTA has started a test program with the new TTA car ahead of 2012 with tests at Swedish tracks Anderstorp, Falkenberg, Mantorp Park and Karlskoga.
“From what I have seen of the race car when it comes to performance, safety and environment, I think it can be a really good addition to Swedish motorsport over the coming years,” said Thomas Jansson, Federal Director of the Swedish Motorsport Federation.
The TTA organization issued an amended calendar for the 2012 season, featuring eight races with premiere at Karlskoga in May and final at the Gothenburg City Race Arena in September. The changes from the preliminary calendar includes the introduction of Mantorp Park in September and a reduction of one race with the premiere moved from April to May.
“The calendar features all the classic tracks along with new tracks like Gothenburg and Anderstorp that makes comeback on Swedish top level racing. One of our greatest strengths is that we have got a close cooperation with the track owners and teams regarding anything from safety improvements and race setup. We can make it even stronger with the Swedish Motorsport Federation, it is really inspiring to work again,” said Thomas Johansson, Managing Director of TTA.
