Mattias Andersson has joined Flash Engineering for the 2012 TTA season and will be team-mate to Jan “Flash” Nilsson.
“I am really glad over the co-operation with Flash Engineering and I am really looking forward to drive in the TTA next season,” said Andersson.
“Flash” and Andersson are going to be team-mates for the first time, despite racing against each other for over ten years.
“TTA is really stirring things up. After having being angry over Mattias for half of my life, I am finally going to co-operate with him. Jokes aside, Mattias is one of the quickest drivers out there and he showed that already in gokarts. We have got a really good relationship and it is going to be great fun to work with Mattias,” said “Flash”.
Andersson has driven an Alfa Romeo in the STCC since 2004 and has driven internationally before that in series such as Renault Clio V6 Trophy and Indy Lights.
“I am starting my 22nd racing season next year, but there is no lack of motivation, rather the opposite. I believe strongly in the TTA concept and we have no doubt got a very exciting season ahead of us,” said Andersson.
Andersson is the ninth driver to be confirmed for TTA and the third driver for Flash Engineering alongside “Flash” and Linus Ohlsson in the junior-satellite Team Tidö.
