The new Nissan Altima was been unveiled in New York earlier this week. Nissan has confirmed that this model is to be used when entering the V8 Supercars next year.
“Confirming Altima as the model we will race from 2013 is the next step for us as we gear up for next season,” said Kelly Racing driver and co-owner Rick Kelly.
Team Kelly Racing is heading the Nissan programme for the Australian championship and testing with the new Altima in V8 Supercars specification is scheduled for later this year.
“The Altima looks fantastic in the flesh. Now we can’t wait to get our first Nissan Altima V8 Supercar on-track for testing later this year because it’s going to look sensational as a race car,” said Kelly.
The Nissan Altima is going hit the Australian showrooms in the second half of 2013.
