André Andersson is going to drive an Opel Astra in the privateers cup of the Scandiavian Touring Car Championship this year.
“I don’t think I have understood yet that I am going to drive STCC. This is the biggest thing so far in my career,” said Andersson.
The 19-year-old has previously done selected races in Camaro Cup 2010, finishing 33rd overall as well as taking part in Formula Basic Norway in 2009, finishing 6th.
Andersson is going to drive for Memphis Racing, a team that previously mainly has been racing in Camaro Cup.
“It is going to be fun and interesting to help André with this program. For us this is a possibility to build experience and competence for future programs with STCC as platform,” said a Memphis Racing representative.
