Fernando Monje and Ulrike Krafft will both drop 10 places at the next round of the FIA European Touring Car Cup at the Salzburgring. The two drivers were penalised for separate incidents in today’s races in Slovakia.
SUNRED Engineering driver Monje, who went in this weekend as the points leader in Super 2000, suffered a puncture in race one, and bogged down at the start of race two. The Spanish driver made contact with Urs Sonderegger’s PCR Sport SEAT León Supercopa whilst working his way back up the field, with both drivers races ending prematurely.
Super 1600 class driver Ulrike Krafft was also penalised for an incident on the opening lap of race one with Team Lux Motor driver Gilles Bruckner.
Both drivers will start 10 places behind their final qualifying positions for the first race at the Salzburgring in three weeks time.
