Saab driver Robin Rudholm picked up where he left off from the Karlskoga pre-season test by being fastest in the first test session of the TTA – Racing Elite League premiere.
“It was a difficult session with mixed and slippery conditions, but it is of course nice to start the weekend by being fastest,” said Rudholm.
Richard Göransson of BMW Dealer Team WCR was second fastest, 0.109 seconds behind, with fellow BMW driver Martin Öhlin in third, a further 0.068 seconds behind.
Fredrik Ekblom was best Volvo driver in fourth, just over two tenths from the fastest time of the session, with team mate Thed Björk in fifth.
Linus Ohlsson, Saab, and Fredrik Larsson, BMW, were evenly matched in seventh and eighth with just one thousands of a second separating the both. The session saw close times with the top nine covered within six tenths.
Best Citroën driver was Stefan Söderberg in 11th position and final driver within one second of the best time. The test also saw the first appearance of the fourth Citroën driver in the form of Mark Miller. The Brit posted the 15th fastest time, 3.2 seconds off pace in his first ever run with the car.
The test was run in greasy conditions after heavy rain during the morning hours, but all drivers were out on slicks.
