Linus Ohlsson takes shock first TTA pole position

21-year-old Linus Ohlsson beat the experienced drivers to the first ever TTA – Racing Elite League pole position at Karlskoga for Saab squad Team Tidö/PWR Racing.
“I am over the moon with this. The lap was far from perfect, but enough. The week couldn’t have started better for me,” said Ohlsson.

Three-time Swedish champion Fredrik Ekblom was close in second, just 30 thousands of a second behind for Volvo Polestar Racing.
“It was a good session and rewarding to start on the first row. Good run by Linus and I am looking forward to the race,” said Ekblom.

Richard Göransson made it three manufacturers in the top three for BMW Dealer Team WCR in third. Robert Dahlgren followed closely behind in fourth, just 0.038 seconds behind Göransson.
“We didn’t get it right with the tyres in the warmers and I couldn’t set my best lap on those. But good session otherwise and we are in the top,” said Göransson.

Fredrik Larsson and Robin Rudholm claimed positions five to six, with Thed Björk in seventh and Martin Öhlin in eighth. Andreas Ebbesson and Stefan Söderberg rounded off the top ten.

The top 12 were covered within one second with a total of 16 drivers taking part in the session. New Citroën driver Mark Miller never completed a timed lap and is going to start last.
