Ekblom ahead of Danielsson as lightning strikes

Fredrik Ekblom topped the first official test session of the TTA weekend at Anderstorp. The Volvo driver lapped the track in 1:34.393 with TTA newcomer Alx Danielsson pulling out a surprise in second, just 0.074 seconds behind.

The session was ended early as a heavy thunderstorm hit the track with a lightning strike killing the time keeping system in the dying minutes of the session.

Richard Göransson was before that able to set the third fastest time while the track was dry, as it was during the majority of the session, 0.609 seconds from Ekblom’s time.

Robert Dahlgren made it two Volvos in the top four, with Robin Rudholm as best Saab driver in fifth.

Tommy Rustad claimed sixth fastest time, just 0.003 seconds ahead of manufacturer colleague Thed Björk in seventh. Stefan Söderberg was second best Citroën driver in eighth ahead of Mattias Andersson and Andreas Ebbesson.
