Volvo in triple TTA championship lead

Volvo has claimed the lead of all three championship tables in the TTA – Racing Elite League after the race at Anderstorp.

Fredrik Ekblom and Robert Dahlgren secured a 1-2 in the race at Anderstorp, with Ekblom going up in the lead of the drivers championship.
“I am really pleased to take my first victory for Volvo Polestar and our first ever TTA victory. It is going to be amazing coming to Gothenburg in triple championship lead,” said a happy Ekblom.

Volvo heads the manufacturers championship on 82 points ahead of Saab on 51 while the blue Volvos of Polestar Racing heads the team championship on 61 points ahead of BMW Dealer Team WCR on 51.
“We are all incredibly proud over everyone in the team today. They have all worked hard and it really pays off,” said Derek Crabb, Motorsport Director of Volvo Cars.

Next TTA race is Gothenburg on the 16th of June, the second largest city in Sweden, where the Volvo factory is located.
“We have today already more than 2 000 guests that we will cater for in different programs during the race. We have also offered all Volvo employees extra good prices on a large number of tickets and we are now forced to negotiate even more and extend the offer. At the same time, the track organizer is flagging that they are starting to run out of tickets. We are no doubt in for a super weekend,” said Alexander Murdzevski Schedvin, Commercial Director of Volvo Cars.
