José María López wins at General Roca

José María López took his first win for the PSG16 Team at General Roca today. The Ford Focus driver win the race ahead of Renault driver Emiliano Spataro and and Peugeot driver Facundo Adrusso in a close finish where the six five were within five seconds.

López held the lead of the race from lights to flag, in front of 25 000 spectators, after starting from pole position.

Agustin Canapino made in four different manufacturers in the top four with the factory Chevrolet Cruze. Leonel Perina was final man in to the top five ahead of Mariano Werner and Carlos Bueno.

Guillermo Ortelli, Matias Munoz Marchesi and Bernardo Llaver rounded off the top ten.

Matias Rossi, who headed the championship table coming to General Roca, had a tough day and had to retire with ten laps left after an engine fire. New championship leader is team mate Werner on 92 points ahead of Rossi on 83 and Girolami on 73.

Next race is at Termas de Rio Hondo in Argentina on the first of July.
