Johan Kristoffersson tops Sturup test day

Johan Kristoffersson headed three Volkswagens in the Scandinavian Touring Car Championship test day at Sturup Raceway. The Superstars championship leaded lapped the track in 1:03.014, just 0.032 seconds ahead of fellow Volkswagen driver Johan Sturesson in second.

Patrik Olsson made it three Volkswagens in the top three, just 0.088 seconds behind. Michel Nykjaer was best Chevrolet driver in fourth, 0.143 seconds slower than Kristoffersson.

Reigning champion Rickard Rydell was fifth fastest ahead of Tomas Engström and Jordi Gené.

A big gap followed to eight fastest driver in the form of Joakim Ahlberg in the ex-KMS Audi A4, close to two seconds off pace. Niclas Olsson, again fastest SEAT driver in the N/A León, and Santosh Berggren rounded off the top ten with Berggren being 2.6 seconds from Kristoffersson’s time.
