Alx Danielsson takes Citroën’s first TTA pole position

Alx Danielsson claimed Citroën and Brovallen Design’s first ever TTA – Racing Elite League pole position. The Swede claimed pole with just 0.062 seconds at the Gothenburg City Arena ahead of Volvo man Thed Björk.
“I am really pleased. The car worked well, but we have got a long race ahead of us and it is going to be a true test for me,” said Danielsson.

Robert Dahlgren claimed third on the grid, just 0.097 second from pole, with championship leader Fredrik Ekblom right behind in fourth.
“It was an okay session. The times are really close and the car felt good, so I’m hoping for a strong race,” said Ekblom.

Daniel Haglöf pulled out his best qualifying session of the year and was best Saab driver in fifth ahead of top BMW driver in the form of Fredrik Larsson.

Robin Rudholm claimed grid position seven ahead of Stefan Söderberg and Mattias Andersson, who topped the final test yesterday. Richard Göransson was final man in to the top ten, but hit the wall towards the end of the session and had to limp in to the pits with a damaged car.
“I made a mistake and spun in to the wall. I have no doubt a tough race ahead of me,” said a disappointed Göransson.

Linus Ohlsson, currently second in the championship, had a tough session as well and is going to start 12th behind Tommy Rustad. The session was really close with 15 drivers within one second and the top ten within four tenths.

The race starts at 15.15 CET.
