Frank Wrathall looking forward to Snetterton 300 return

Dynojet Racing driver Frank Wrathall is looking forward to returning to the scene of his first independents’ class victory, at the Snetterton 300 circuit in Norfolk this weekend, following on from a recent test with the Toyota Avensis.

Wrathall currently sits in fifth place in the independents’ trophy, having taken a class win in the rain at Thruxton back in April, and is hopeful of a repeat of the strong form that the 25-year-old showed in the last half of 2011 in the Next Generation Touring Car specification Toyota Avensis.

“Snetterton was the turning point for us last year and the fourth place we scored was all the sweeter for being unexpected,” said Wrathall. “But I don’t know what to expect from Snetterton this year. We know in which areas we are struggling with the car, and hopefully we can dial that out. If what we have done to the suspension and the steering has worked, then we will have a good meeting, and one of those is overdue.”

The single car team recently tested at Brands Hatch, working on improvements to the team’s car, now in its second year of competition in the BTCC.

“The circuit was busy with other cars, so traffic was a problem, but we covered around 80 laps and got through the whole programme, “said Wrathall. “I was pleased with how the Toyota felt, and it was great to get behind the wheel again after what feels like months.”
