Chevrolet drivers Michel Nykjaer and Rickard Rydell topped the warm up session at Östersund, lapping the airport track in 54.679 and 54.911 respectively. Championship leader Johan Kristoffersson was third fastest for Volkswagen, half a second behind.
Volkswagen claimed positions three to six with Jordi Gené in fourth, Patrik Olsson fifth and Johan Stureson sixth.
Robin Appelqvist was “best of the rest” in seventh position with his SEAT León, 1.5 seconds from the fastest time. André Andersson, Niclas Olsson and Andreas Ahlberg rounded off the top ten.
Pole-man Tomas Engström never made it out on track due to technical problems.
The first race of the day starts at 12.40 CET, followed by the second race at 15.10.
