Talks resumed between STCC and TTA via SBF

The split between the STCC and TTA has seemingly taken a new turn as talks between the two championships have resumed via the Swedish Automobile Sports Federation (SBF).
“We have worked with these questions since the autumn 2010 and we have regular contact with both Rickard Pålsson of STCC AB and Greger Petersson of TTA AB,” said Kåge Schildt, Federal Chariman of SBF.

The turns have been many between the STCC and TTA, starting with four STCC teams leaving the championship after disputes over regulations, starting the TTA – Racing Elite League ahead of this season.

There has been tries of negotiations since then, most noticeably when the TTA supposedly turned down an offer from STCC to buy their championship.

SBF issued a press release after a meeting yesterday between Schildt, Pålsson and Petersson in the south of Sweden, stating:

“The parties are positive regarding the discussions today where there could be possibilities for interaction and they have decided to meet again in the near future.”
