Andy Yan on pole for Chang’an Ford Team at Shanghai

Andy Yan claimed pole position for the second round of CTCC at the Shanghai International Circuit. Zhang Sheng Jun of team ASR da Marco and Wang Rue of team Shanghai VW 333 Racing qualified in second and third position respectively.

Zhang was close to Yan throughout the qualifying session and a mere 0.027 seconds separated the both.

Li Zhi Cong qualified eighth for Honda in his return to the CTCC. The Kia drivers seemed to be struggling with Michael Soong in tenth position, while Huang Chu Han, Guo Hua Sheng and Lin Le Feng were unable to set a complete lap in the qualifying session.

The CTCC Super Production race will be held at 14:12 on Sunday.
