Daniel Juncadella happy with re-introduction of Friday roll-out

Mercedes DTM rookie, Daniel Juncadella, has declared himself happy with the re-introduced Friday roll-out.

The roll-out originally allowed drivers to familiarise themselves with the track before the Saturday practice session, but due to the more compact DTM weekends this season, and the series’ cost cutting measures, it was banned for 2013.

As of today at the Lausitzring, the 15 minute session was re-introduced from 18:45 to 19:00 CET. However, it remained un-timed.

“It’s good to get more track time, especially as a rookie,” Juncadella told TouringCarTimes. “Even if it’s just 15 minutes.

“It’s enough time to get a good feeling of how the car behaves on a certain circuit. It’s a good change and I definitely like the re-introduction of the roll out!”
