Chaz Mostert set to replace Will Davison at FPR

21-year-old Chaz Mostert is set to be drafted into Ford Performance Racing for next season, replacing Will Davison, who is reportedly departing to join the Erebus Motorsport team.

Mostert, who drove for FPR in the V8 Supercars Development Series before being loaned to Dick Johnson Racing this year to drive the #17 Ford Falcon, has been told his services will be required at FPR next year, according the Australian Telegraph.

The young Australian will take over from Will Davison, who is understood to be leaving Ford Performance Racing after three years with the team, and joining Erebus Motorsport, who have a vacancy after the departure of Tim Slade who is joining Walkinshaw Racing next year.

Mostert took his first victory at Queenland Raceway in July and sits 18th in the standings, despite missing the first three rounds of the season.
