Kristian Lindbom first confirmed wild card entry

Kristian Lindbom has become the first confirmed wildcard entry for the 2014 V8 Supercars endurance races.
“It’s a dream come true really. Most kids in Australia either dream of going into Formula 1 or racing at Bathurst. My dream was F1 and that didn’t happen, so now I’m getting that second goal. It’s a huge opportunity,” said Lindbom to speedcafe.com.

The 24-year-old is going to drive for Dragon Motor Racing in an ex-Garry Rogers Motorsport Holden Commodore in the races at Sandown 500 and Bathurst 1000.

The Australian has previously raced single seaters as well as taking part in the development Dunlop V8 Supercar series. Lindbom hopes the endurance drive with Dragon Motor Racing leads to a full-season drive.

”I definitely want to do a solid job to show that I can at least be a good co-driver. Becoming a co-driver has been a big springboard for a lot of drivers,” said Lindbom.

The first V8 Supercars endurance race of 2014 takes place at Sandown Raceway on September 14th.
