Anderstorp back for 2015 STCC calendar and renewed TV contract

The STCC organisation revealed details ahead of the 2015 season at a press conference at Mantorp Park today which includes the return of former F1 track Anderstorp to the calendar and a renewed TV deal with SVT.

”We are glad to have Anderstorp back in the calendar, a legendary track for Swedish motorsport enthusiasts,” said Jonas Lundin, Managing Director of STCC AB.

The STCC organisation also confirmed that the 2015 calendar will consist of seven race weekends on seven different tracks. The calendar has not been revealed, other than that the Anderstorp race will be held on May 29-30th 2015.

The TV contract with the state-owned channel SVT has been renewed for three more years and will include live broadcast online and a 60 minute magazine programme on channel SVT 2.

“A strong calendar together with a strong TV package is vital for a strong championship. We have more things to come in October and I am confident ahead of 2015,” said Lundin.

Also confirmed was the introduction of the latest Renault Clio Cup model as support class and that the rallycross class RallyX will continue together with the championship in at least four of the seven race weekends.
