Dusan Borkovic hampered by Beijing damage in Shanghai test

Dusan Borkovic just made it to Shanghai after his Chevrolet RML Cruze sustained heavy damage last week at Beijing. The Serbian also had to skip the Testing session as the team found more hidden damages on the car, which prevented Borkovic from learning the track.

“I didn’t even finish the first lap when we found a damage on the car that was fixed after the test,” said the Campos Racing driver. “In spite of that I am happy with the work my team did. There are always issues after each crash and this one is not an exception. I believe that my team has solved that problem and that I am ready to race in Shanghai.”

Despite his optimism, Borkovic conceded that the loss of track time experienced today will have to be made up for, as the Serbian never raced at the track:”Unfortunately there are no more tests today but we have to use the most of what we have. I am grateful to my team for the opportunity to participate in this round.

We focus on Shanghai now, it is technically demanding and fast circuit. I will do my best to compensate tomorrow what I missed today and learn the circuit.”

Free Practice 1 is scheduled for 8.10 CST.
