Colin Turkington crowned at Night of Champions

Colin Turkington was formally crowned as the 2014 BTCC champion at the annual TOCA Night of Champions ceremony on Saturday night.

The Northern Irishman was presented with the trophy at the Heythrop Park hotel in Oxfordshire, with his West Surrey Racing BMW 125i taking pride of place outside, complete with number one on the window.

Also collecting trophies were Jack Sears Trophy champion Dave Newsham, series runner-up Jason Plato and Independents’ runner-up Mat Jackson, while MG’s Guy Jones collected the manufacturers’ trophy.

The champions from the TOCA support series were also presented with their awards, including new BTCC graduate Mike Bushell (Clio Cup), Charlie Robertson (Ginetta GT4 Supercup), Jack Mitchell (Ginetta Juniors), Josh Webster (Carrera Cup) and Jayde Kruger (Formula Ford).
