TCR race control structure takes shape

The TCR organisation has appointed a Race Director in the form of Marc Duez, a former professional racing driver.

“I am especially pleased to have Marc Duez as the Race Director of the TCR International Series. Not only he is an experienced Race Director, but he also knows very well all the tricks of Touring Car drivers, as he was one of them. And we also have a long standing friendship, as I was his team manager for many races,” said Marcello Lotti, head of TCR.

Duez’s previous motorsport merits include three Belgian rally titles, the 1986 World Sportscar Championship C2 class title and three victories of both the 24 Hours of Spa and Nürburgring.

The 58-year-old Belgian has most recently worked as Race Director for various international races of GP2, GP3 and the Porsche Supercup.
