Dušan Borković completes private test in Italy

Dušan Borković has completed two days of private testing with his new Honda Civic of TC1 specification on the Tazio Nuvolari circuit in Italy together with Proteam Motorsport.

“I was very pleased with the car, but most of the time we spent fitting me in the seat and it is still not perfect,” Borković.

Borković’s length is an issue with the smaller Civic compared to the Chevrolet Cruze he drove last season.

”Proteam and JAS are working hard on fixing this problem and unfortunately my seating position won’t be improved for the first two racing weekends for sure, but I am hoping that with FIA approval we will find a solution soon. My back hurts a lot for now, I am sitting too high and my left leg numbs when I am driving but I won’t let it affect my performance,” said Borković.

The Serbian has got a steep learning curve of the new car ahead of the season premiere on Argentina on March 7-8th, but is nonetheless confident.

“Honda is completely different from Chevy. I like it a lot. I am additionally confident after my result in my last race in 2014 in Japan. We are yet to see how am I going to manage with Honda as WTCC season is more complex than a test but so far I am very pleased. Can’t wait for the first race,” said Borković.
