Dušan Borković withdraws from Marrakech

Dušan Borković has announced his withdrawal from the FIA World Touring Car Championship weekend in Marrakech. The Proteam Racing driver was to have started tenth on the grid in the first race today.

Borković’s manager Andrijana Borkovic confirmed to TouringCarTimes the principal reason for the withdrawal is ongoing concern for his safety, due to technical issues with his Honda Civic. Borković is not sitting comfortably due to his height, with recent modifications not having fully resolved this issue. There are also further discussions continuing with Proteam, as the car is still fitted with 2014 specification parts and isn’t running at the current configuration as used by the factory team and by Zengo Motorsport and NIKA Racing.

The 30-year-old’s father also recently passed away suddenly, and admitted that this also has influenced the decision in part.
