Soft tyre choices announced for Donington Park

The soft tyre choices have been announced for today’s three BTCC races at Donington Park.

Dunlop’s soft rubber was a big talking point at the season opener at Brands Hatch, with several drivers struggling to make the compound last in the opening two races.

However, the soft tyre-shod Matt Neal bucked the trend in the final race of the day, taking the second win of the day for the new Honda Civic Type-R.

The spread of tyre choice for today is a lot more even than usual, with 11 using the soft compound in race one, seven in race two and 11 in race three.

The tyre choices for today are as follows:

Race One: Simon Belcher, Andy Wilmot, Dan Welch, Aiden Moffat, Mike Bushell, Kieran Gallagher, Matt Neal, Adam Morgan, Josh Cook, Tom Ingram, Stewart Lines.

Race Two: Martin Depper, Jack Goff, Aron Smith, Gordon Shedden, Hunter Abbott, Andrew Jordan, Rob Austin.

Race Three: Colin Turkington, Rob Collard, Sam Tordoff, Alex Martin, Dave Newsham, Derek Palmer Jr, Warren Scott, Jeff Smith, Richard Hawken, Jason Plato, Andy Priaulx.
