Thed Björk remains on top in Knutstorp afternoon session

Volvo Polestar Racing driver Thed Björk kept the top spot in the afternoon STCC test session at Knutstorp, but just 0.057 seconds ahead of Team Tidö driver Richard Göransson.
“A great start to the season. The car feels great and I feel strong after the winter break. Our focus is on finding the sweet spot in the new Michelin tyres,” said Björk.

Björk’s team mate Fredrik Ekblom was third fastest, 0.156 seconds from the top time, with Dacia Dealer Team driver Mattias Andersson in fourth.

WestCoast Racing’s Fredrik Larsson was fifth fastest, just over three tenths from position one, with Emma Kimiläinen in sixth position, a further three tenths adrift.

Erik Johansson, still listed as TBA in the official times, was seventh fastest and the top Team Kia driver.

The afternoon session was held without any major incidents, bar one spin in the penultimate corner from Roger Samuelsson, stopping just centimeters from the barriers.

The test continues tomorrow with the two final sessions ahead of the season start on May 8th at the new Skövde Airport Race.
