Robb Holland looking for WTCC Nordschleife drive

Robb Holland confirmed he is looking for a drive for the FIA World Touring Car Championship Nordschleife race.

The American is currently testing in the Audi he will be racing in at the Nurburgring 24h race, which he will contest in the same weekend as the WTCC race.

“There should be a few cars available, so hopefully I will be able to compete,” said Holland to TouringCarTimes.

“This is my home track, I live less than 2 miles from here, so it would be nice to do it.”

Holland did not confirm which car he will be in, but did not deny rumours that he will be in a Honda:”The problem is that, although some teams have a spare car, they have to make sure it is fine for the entire season, not just for the Nordschleife event, so it is not easy to find an agreement. We will not know until a week before the race.”

The American says that his lack of TC1 experience should not be a problem:”Although I haven’t driven these cars yet, the Audi I am racing on at the event is quite similar, so I think the experience at the track should make up for that.”

The WTCC Race of Germany is scheduled for May, 16th.
