Ford and Volvo announce line-up for endurance races

Prodrive Racing Australia and Volvo Polestar Racing have announced their line-ups for the endurance races of the 2015 V8 Supercars Championship.

Cameron Waters is going to drive together with reigning Bathurst 1000 champion Chaz Mostert. Waters is currently leading the Dunlop Series and drove with Jack Perkins last year.

“To get the call up to the main series again is awesome. I really enjoyed working with Jack last year but working with Chaz this year will be an awesome experience. He’s the defending Bathurst Champion so the pressure is on to back that up but I think we can do it. The series will be massive for me, I’ll be in both the Dunlop Series and the main series for the Enduro Cup but I’m really looking forward to it,” said Waters.

Mark Winterbottom will just as last year drive together with Steve Owen, the duo finished fourth in the 2014 Pirtek Enduro Cup.

David Reynolds will also continue with his co-driver from last year as Dean Canto takes the wheel of the #55 Ford Falcon for the fourth consecutive year.

Volvo Polestar Racing’s Scott McLaughlin will partner up with former regular GRM driver Alexandre Prémat and the pair scored a podium finish at the Gold Coast last year.

David Wall will be partnered by Chris Pither, currently fourth in the Dunlop Series this year. Pither stepped in for Wall in Melbourne as the Volvo driver was sidelined by a foot injury.

”It was a difficult choice with Pither as we had been approached and were talking to several other eligible drivers including Greg Ritter who has done a great job here over many years. In the end with the intensity of the endurance races it is more important than ever to have drivers who are competing in current high level racing,” said Garry Rogers, owner of GRM.
