Motorbase completes test with new Ecoboost engine

Motorbase Performance completed a test at Brands Hatch last week with the new Ecoboost engine in preparation of their planned BTCC return at Snetterton in August.

The team had two Ford Focus ST race cars present at the test with drivers Mat Jackson and James Cole behind the wheel.

The team announced their withdrawal from the first half of the BTCC earlier this year, instead focusing on getting everything in order for a return in the second half of the season.

“The car’s got the new Ecoboost engine in it now and it’s a good car – that’s the frustrating thing, and we need to get back to prove it,” said team owner David Bartrum in an earlier interview with TouringCarTimes.
