Davide Roda unlikely to continue Monza weekend after practice roll

Davide Roda had a huge crash at Lesmo 2, which saw the Zengo Motorsport SEAT León Racer roll over and land on its roof.

While the driver has no injuries, the same cannot be said for the car, which has quite significant damage and is unlikely to be fixed to continue the weekend.

” It was quite a silly accident,” said team owner Zoltàn Zengo to TouringCarTimes. “It was just the smallest of mistakes by the driver, who went too deep on the inside and just clipped the grass. That triggered an understeer which sent the car into the gravel.”

After the car entered the gravel trap, there was nothing the driver could to:” Davide was trying to get back on the track, but he just clipped the wall on the outside with the left rear. At that point he rolled over and landed on the roof. It destroyed the car, and I think the programme for the weekend is over.”

Some parts are too damaged to be fixed, so Roda is very likely to sit out of the rest of the weekend.
