Rickard Rydell will be back racing in Moscow

Rickard Rydell has performed a test at Mantorp Park in Sweden in preparation for his return to racing next month at the Russian round of the WTCC at the Moscow Raceway.

The Nika Racing driver, who has been out of the championship since the second event of the season in Marrakech, Morocco, due to thyroiditis, took part in a test in the team’s Honda Civic WTCC at the Mantorp Park circuit, where his current physical condition was assessed as well as new suspension components from the team’s technical partner Öhlins.

The two day test was positive, and the team are all set to make their return at the next round in Russia in two weeks’ time. The Swede scored three points at the opening round of the season at Termas de Rio Hondo, Argentina.
