Augusto Farfus and Jamie Green fined in Spielberg

BMW’s Augusto Farfus and Audi’s Jamie Green received financial penalties after their respective infringements during free practice at the Red Bull Ring, host of the fifth round of the 2015 DTM season.

Augusto Farfus was called to the stewards’ office after an incident during first free practice, in which the Brazilian was let out of his garage as another car was approaching, hitting António Félix Da Costa. Farfus has been fined 2,000€ for the unsafe release.

The current standings leader Jamie Green was also fined 2,000€ for using a set of tyres during second free practice that hadn’t been declared for his use prior to the event.

Farfus and Green qualified in fifth and second positions respectively for Race 1’s grid. The start is scheduled for 18:13 DEST (GMT + 2).
