Thed Björk continues on top with Fredrik Larsson gaining

Thed Björk improved his best time even further in the second STCC test session at Karlskoga but with title rival Fredrik Larsson closing in, reducing the gap to 0.174 seconds.

Daniel Haglöf made it three different manufacturers in the top three with 1:04.809, just over four tenths slower than Björk.

Prince Carl Philip Bernadotte keeps his strong pace, improving one position from the first test to fourth fastest time, just under six tenths of a second from Volvo Polestar Racing colleague Björk.

Four-time STCC champion Richard Göransson was fifth fastest ahead of Fredrik Ekblom and the top Kia driver in the form of Erik Johansson in seventh position.

STCC newcomer Rasmus Mårthen showed promising form with the eighth fastest time for Team Kia, lapping 1.2 seconds from the fastest time of the session.

Emma Kimiläinen spun off track in the final part of the test and was left stranded in the grass for the remainder of the session, seemingly with technical issues.

The STCC action at Karlskoga resumes tomorrow at 09:25 CET with qualifying.
