Antonio Giovinazzi pointed out as replacement for Timo Scheider

Antonio Giovinazzi has been pointed out as replacement driver for Timo Scheider in the DTM races at Moscow Raceway this weekend.

Scheider has been suspended from the DTM races in Russia due to the controversial crash at the Red Bull Ring, as we reported on yesterday.

Giovinazzi is currently leading the European Formula 3 championship and tested for Audi earlier this year at Lausitzring.

An official confirmation of Giovinazzi taking Scheider’s seat is expected tomorrow.
