The new Mercedes C63 DTM unveiled at Frankfurt

Mercedes AMG today presented their new challenger for the 2016 Deutsche Tourenwagen Masters season at the IAA Frankfurt motor show.

Toto Wolff, Head of Mercedes Benz Motorsport, Ullrich Fritz, Head of Mercedes AMG in the DTM and Pascal Wehrlein, driver at HWA AG and current standings leader, unveiled the new C63 DTM.

Wolff was expectant of the good things to come with the new car: “We are showing our new DTM car for 2016, based on the C63. We are very proud. We don’t know yet whether it’s fast, but it looks good.”

Pascal Wehrlein felt honoured to have been chosen to appear at the launch: “I’m very proud, we have eight DTM drivers, and I had the opportunity to present a new car, I’m very lucky and I’m happy to do it, hopefully it’s very quick.”

Ullrich Fritz also has high expectations for the new machine:”We have a new car and we are incredibly motivated. We definitely want to win the championship with this car and achieve as many victories as we can.”
