Mercedes AMG’s Daniel Juncadella to compete in Macau F3 Grand Prix

Mercedes AMG driver in the Deutsche Tourenwagen Masters Daniel Juncadella will participate in the 62nd Macau Formula 3 Grand Prix next month, with a Dallara F312 Mercedes from Fortec Motorsport.

The Team Mücke driver, who finished the DTM season on a high after a solid performance in Race 2 at the Hockenheim finale, will participate in the traditional race at the Guia circuit for the third time in his career. Juncadella was the overall winner in the 2011 edition, just before starting his involvement in the DTM.

The Spaniard, who had some outings in the Blancpain Endurance Series this year, in preparation for his participation at the 2015 24 Hours of Spa at the wheel of a Mercedes-Benz AMG SLS GT3, commented: “Racing and competing is what I love to do, so I couldn’t refuse the invitation to participate in Macau. Winning there in 2011 was the greatest moment of my career, so this race is special for me.”

Daniel Juncadella is widely expected to remain a part of the Mercedes AMG driver line up in the DTM for 2016, in what will be his fourth season in the series.
