Andrew Jordan confident to challenge for 2016 title with Motorbase

Andrew Jordan was recently confirmed to drive for Motorbase Performance next year and the 2013 champion is confident he can challenge for the 2016 British Touring Car Championship title.

”We have a great platform to build on for next year and everyone in the team is confident that we have a strong package that can challenge for the title,” said Jordan.

Jordan tested for the team earlier this week at Brands Hatch, a test leaving him confident.

”After spending a couple days with the boys in the workshop I feel really comfortable in the team and the test couldn’t have gone any better to be honest,” said Jordan.

Motorbase Performance joined the 2015 BTCC season for the final four rounds, scoring three victories and three pole positions with the improved Ford Focus.

“After watching the Focus this year I was really looking forward to seeing how it handled. I know that people will be expecting me to say this, but the car genuinely impressed me. Motorbase have clearly done a great job getting the car to where it is now, both with the engine and chassis development and it’s been a long time since I’ve felt that happy in a touring car,” said Jordan.
