TCR announces calendar for 2016

The TCR International Series organisation has announced a first draft of the calendar for 2016, featuring 12 races around the globe.

While not locked in yet, the plan is for the championship to kick off as support event to the Formula 1 race in Bahrain in April.

“We are currently negotiating with the Formula One Management, and our wish is to be part of the Bahrain, Singapore and Malaysia Grands Prix. Which would result in a season’s kick off in Bahrain on April 3,” said series promoter Marcello Lotti.

Six races are set for Europe in Portugal, Belgium, Italy, Austria, Germany and Russia.

The final five races will be held in Asia, including China, Singapore, Thailand, Malaysia and the legendary street race in Macau as season finale.
