Plenty of touring car front-runners to race in 2016 Daytona 24 Hours

A number of touring car front runners will take part in the 2016 Daytona 24 Hours, including Augusto Farfus, Bruno Spengler, Mike Rockenfeller and Shane van Gisbergen.

Van Gisbergen will drive a Porsche 991 GT3R for Alex Job Racing, the team he raced for last year to finish 12th.

The Triple Eight Race Engineering driver will drive together with Cooper MacNeil, David MacNeil, Gunnar Jeannette and Leh Keen.

The BMW DTM duo of Augusto Farfus and Bruno Spengler will drive with Dirk Werner and Bill Auberlen at BMW Team RLL.

Former BMW works drivers Joey Hand and Dirk Muller will drive the all-new Ford GT at Ford Chip Ganassi Racing while Mike Rockenfeller will team up with Jan Magnussen and Antonio Garcia at Corvette Racing.

Volvo Polestar Racing V8 Supercars endurance driver Alexandre Prémat will drive a Ferrari 488 GTE alongside Alessandro Pier Guidi and Daniel Serra.

Sabine Schmitz, who joined Münnich Motorsport for the WTCC race at the Nürburgring Nordschleife, will drive for the German Porsche team Frikadelli Racing.

The 54th Daytona 24 Hours runs on January 30-31th.
