Fredrik Ekblom shakes down Polestar S60 TC1 at Knutstorp

Polestar Cyan Racing are at the Knutstorp circuit today shaking down the Volvo Polestar S60 TC1 ahead the World Touring Car Championship’s first general test at Vallelunga next week.

2012 TTA Series champion Fredrik Ekblom is on duty while last year’s STCC champion and team-mate Thed Björk is at a drivers’ workshop event in Megève, France, hosted by WTCC promoter Eurosport Events.

The team’s S60 is now running in Cyan Racing’s blue, as opposed to the black scheme it was revealed with back in October last year.

“This was the best roll-out of my career,” said Ekblom to TouringCarTimes. “It is the best feeling for a racing driver to bring a completely new race car out on track for its first metres.

“I am very happy that things went so well today, enabling us to focus on proper test work next week in Italy.”

Björk will join the team tomorrow to take over the reins of the S60 TC1.
