Leonel Pernia claims Rosario pole position
Leonel Pernía has claimed pole position for the Super TC 2000 round at Rosario for Renault, beating Toyota’s Matías Rossi by 0.201 seconds.
Agustín Canapino, Chevrolet, Damian Fineschi, Peugeot, and José Manuel Urcera, Fiat, made it five different manufacturers in the top five of the qualifying session, separated by just over half a second.
Matías Milla was sixth fastest for Toyota, 0.552 seconds from Pernía, while Renault drivers Ignacio Julián and Christian Ledesma rounded off the top eight.
The two Super 8, eight lap qualifying races take place on Sunday morning at 9:15 and 9:45 local time, before the main event of 39 laps at 12:20 ART.
